Client: Interfaith Philadelphia
Role: Research & Strategy, Branding, Art Direction, Design
Interfaith Philadelphia is a nonprofit located in Philadelphia, “The City of Brotherly Love.” Founded as a response to the 9/11 tragedy in 2004 by a group of diverse individuals, this collection of people came together with a common goal: to affect positive change. Together they formed a multi-faith organization that seeks to create interreligious dialogue, education, and community building.
In 2017, I began working with Interfaith Philadelphia (formerly known as the Interfaith Center of Greater Philadelphia) to totally overhaul their visual identity. Their goal was to emerge with a new identity that better represented who they had become as an organization after 13 years of emergence and growth. Partnering with their Communications Director Andrew Feigenbaum, we worked together to create a brand and voice that represented growth, their community, and above all else: diversity. Their new color scheme helps convey warmth and accessibility, while their new graphic visualizes their overall goal of bringing a community together. All of this, once paired with a more modern and inviting typeface, created a fresher image that assisted them immensely as they developed larger initiatives and sought out new financial partners to further their reach and fulfill their goal of creating positive change for the community.
After establishing and implementing their new visual identity system, I have been lucky enough to have continued our partnership to this day. Since 2017 I have designed numerous annual reports, flyers, banners, booklets, fundraiser materials, and even a community-sourced cookbook!
